Financial Planning for Job Changers and Career Transitions
I'm a CFP® with an MBA and over 15 years of capital markets experience. I focus on one moment: the financial decisions that come with changing jobs or navigating a major career shift. That means 401(k) and equity compensation decisions, closing benefits gaps, and planning for the growing number of clients managing a career transition while also supporting aging parents and their own kids. I'm based in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY, and I've taught financial literacy locally for over 15 years.
How we guide you through your transitions
Map what your transition actually changes
A new job or career shift touches more of your finances than people expect. My process starts by identifying exactly what's changing: your retirement plan options, equity compensation timelines, benefits coverage, tax withholding, and cash flow, so nothing slips through the gap between old employer and new.
Build a plan around your new reality
Once we know what's changing, I build a plan specific to your transition. That might mean deciding whether to roll over a 401(k), mapping vesting schedules on stock options or RSUs, adjusting your budget for a new salary or bonus structure, or closing a health coverage gap with a COBRA bridge.
Fit it into the bigger picture
Your transition doesn't happen in isolation. I make sure your new plan works alongside your existing goals, whether that's your emergency reserve, your debt strategy, or the fact that you're supporting both aging parents and your own kids at the same time. Nothing gets planned in a silo.
